Four-year-old Spuds McDuff is an English Bull Terrier who loves to do many things, including traveling all over the country. He has many adventures to share, and a vintage large letter postcard from every city and state he's ever visited.
But his favorite activity? Sleeping. According to owner Matt, “Give him a cozy couch and a blanket, and he’s set.” In addition to being a sleepy boy, Spuds is also cuddly and sweet, and loves playing with other dogs.
“I rescued him as a 10-week-old puppy from someone who got him way too young, and realized they couldn’t have a puppy,” says Matt, a software engineer. “My friend had a finger on the pulse of bull terrier activity in San Diego (where I lived) at the time, so he heard about Spuds needing a home and let me know.”

“Spuds loves the dog park, and can run for hours with other dogs, as you can see on his Instagram account,” says Matt.

The duo has traveled around a lot. Matt is a self-described “digital nomad,” and therefore, so is Spuds. They’ve been on adventures galore.
“The whole western side of the state of Oregon is absolutely magical,” says Matt. “Spuds loved going to Secret Beach on the Oregon coast, and he actually had a ton of fun at the redwoods in California.”

And now, for some fun facts about this adorable English Bull Terrier from Matt:
Spuds, like most dogs, loves cheese. If he so much as thinks there is cheese being eaten, he’ll dash full speed and try to get it. He also loves to chew on properly prepared deer antlers, because he’s kind of a dog hipster.
Spuds has a spot on the back of his neck, that if you pet, will make him go into a trance and fall asleep in 45 seconds. Then you stop and he’ll snap out of it and get grumpy that you quit.
Spuds is super allergic to basically everything, so I’m constantly having to stop people giving him treats, much to his chagrin.
While not related by blood or basically any other kind of relation, Spuds is the spiritual great great grandson of the original Spuds Mackenzie and Suds McDuff.
Spuds dreams of traveling the world, so if anyone out there can help with that, hook it up.
Spuds has swam with a shark, cuddled with a bear and nonchalantly jogged with a lion!
